And here are our thoughts:

  1. It’s FAKE! Look closely at the puppy – does it move at all? NO. The viewer is lulled into believing it’s alive because of what the Solider on the left is saying (“Oh look at the cute puppy…”). The sound of a puppy whimpering was obviously added later (we edit and do this all the time), and done poorly – notice how the “yelping” audio level remains constant as the poor critter flies away? We honestly believe that this was a dead puppy and that the dudes took advantage of a twisted video opp just for fun. Too bad they’re probably gonna get in some serious trouble over this though…
  2. Even if it’s faked, it’s still CRAPOLICIOUS. Obviously the intent of this video was to shock (way to go guys – you succeeded! As Mr. Burns would say: Excellent.), and we know that “war is hell” and the life of a Marine can be tough, but come on…even faking the tossing of a puppy indicates some seriously Crapolicious mental issues. Get. Help. Now.
